Mentoring Program Overview
In our mentoring program, we offer flexible durations of 3, 6, or 12 months, adapting to the individual needs as assessed by the referrer. Each session, spanning 3 hours, provides a dedicated space for mentor and mentee to meet weekly in relaxed environments like fast-food restaurants, living rooms, or parks. Here are key features of our mentoring approach:
- Initial Connection: Mentors and mentees forge connections in casual settings, fostering respect and trust over the program’s duration.
- Financial Support: Young people receive a monthly budget for lunch and refreshments, ensuring a comfortable environment for discussions and goal-setting.
- Goal-Oriented Sessions: The 3-hour sessions are structured to review the mentee’s week, create mind-maps, and outline educational or vocational goals, helping them achieve measurable targets.
- Holistic Support: Mentors take on additional responsibilities, such as attending court, meeting with teachers, and arranging training or employment meetings, addressing various aspects of the mentee’s well-being and future.
- Personalized Plans: Each mentee receives a tailored Personal GroPlan, offering a clear roadmap for their mentoring journey.
- Progress Tracking: Weekly reports sent to the referrer provide detailed insights into the mentee’s challenges and advancements throughout the program.
